1. COM_Text software is a SerialKeys emulator for Windows Operating System, which can transform Hexadecimal data (received through the serial port or USB Virtual COM) into character in format of ASCII/Unicode Simplified Chinese/Japanese, etc., and display the character on the active editor window of Notepad (.TXT）or Microsoft Word (.DOC).

2. The cable connected to an instrument (e.g. a barcode scanner in this document) must be a RS232 cable or a USB cable.  If a USB cable is applied, the USB device type of the barcode scanner must to be set as "USB Virtual COM".
